Its been a tough few days for Randy. He has experienced more shooting pain throughout his lower back and abdomen. Nausea and dry heaves continue to happen out of the blue. He is also experiencing low levels of energy, praying all his energy is going towards shrinking the tumor. As this is week 8 after radiation treatments have ended maybe the side effects are going to get worse and then better. He tried to swallow water on Tuesday. It did not go down. We are keeping positive thoughts that his body is just taking longer to react to the radiation treatments. When they say 6-8 weeks that's just an average so some people are quicker and some are longer. Fingers crossed.
Thankfully the phlebitis has eased up and he no longer has the pain in his butt and legs and the hives have stayed away so that is a blessing.
I have had a couple wonderful days meeting up with some special ladies who I have worked with before and work with now. It was great to see you all. Thanks for your support, comfort and shoulders to cry on.
Dear Randy, we are so saddened by your 'journey' and the pain that your are having to endure. You are in our thoughts and prayers every day, and we pray that you will get nothing but great results on Tuesday. Everyone's cancer and treatments are different, and therefore the side effects are different too for each person. Ray took his brain radiation, and although his side effects lasted longer than we expected, it has given him 10 years past his prognosis date, Praise the Lord! We will continue to fight the battle as I know you will too. Kim we continue to pray for you and the boys, since we both know this affects the whole family. Please let us know if there is ever anything we can do for the two of you, or if Randy would like more company at any time. God Bless you all. Again, best of luck with all the upcoming tests and results. We continue to pray for the tumor to shrink and the challenges that Randy faces will be alleviated by God very soon.
